North Cumbria Drop In Tuesday 17th May
During Drop-In today people were talking about
the news. Yesterday on the news they talked
about a new type of blood test to tell you how
long you have left to live.
The test looks at people’s 
chromosomes to work out how
quickly people are getting old.
The test is due to come out at the
end of the year.
It will cost £435.00.
10 people talked about the test. All 10 people said they would not have it done.
“It’s just frightening people. It scares people, it’s a
con”, said John.
“I’d like mine done for nowt. I go to the doctors to
have blood done. I don’t like needles. If I could
have it done for nowt I’d have it done but I’m not
paying for it!” said Anthony
“I think it’s a complete load of crap. Even if you got
it for nowt I wouldn’t do it.” said
Lou.
“I would be worrying about everything if I had it done – the children, the mortgage!
What if you paid for the test then got ran over by a bus and died – would you get a
refund because the test was wrong?” said Lindsay

I think it would make me feel inadequate.
Naay, don’t want to know when I’m gonna die…is there a test to check if I’ll be a millionaire one day??? For that I’d pay ££££.
I know it will come to me one day so I try to make sure that every day counts. If I knew when my loved ones would die, I would spend all my life thinking about losing them and waste whatever precious time we all have together.
